Anger is a sign that children feel deeply and are not as resilient as we think. Anger is a response to dissatisfaction and pain. Parents should always strive to uncover the pain behind their respective children’s or ward’s anger. They should know the reasons for the anger, whether right or wrong and attend to it. To begin is to try to pinpoint what makes a child angry. BETTY AMUKPO asks ‘What makes you angry?’ Read the responses.
‘Angry when abusive words are used on me’
The word ‘Anger’ is a strong feeling of being upset or annoyed because something is wrong or bad, it’s also a feeling that makes someone wants to hurt other people, to shout and so on. Things that makes me angry are being told I’m wrong when I’m not or people trying to push their limiting belief onto me. Or being talked over, I get especially angry when other people start talking over me just because they don’t like what I’m saying.
‘What makes me angry most times are my friends’
Anger is strong feeling of annoyance or a very strong motivator that will always motivate you to hurt others. What makes me angry most times are my friends. And any time I am asked a question that I don’t know the answer, I become angry. But I came to think of it that it’s the work of the devil and I began to take control of my anger little by little. Ipray that God will help us to control our anger through Christ our Lord, Amen.
‘Being told I’m wrong when I’m not’
Anger is a strong human emotion. If you have ever felt your heart pumping and strongly want to scream or punch a wall, you’ve felt anger. What makes me angry: • Forgetting my homework and having to do it at the last minute. When someone wake me up after having the best sleep of my lifetime. • Getting up late to school. • When people tell lies against me. • When people are bullying me. • Being told I’m wrong when I’m not. • Spilling cereal all over the place while serving myself. • When they abuse me. When my parents don’t allow me to watch my CARTOONS.
‘People doing the wrong things like cheating’
The word anger is when someone feels annoyed or upset towards a bad thing or when something bad happens. What makes me angry is when I see people doing the wrong thing like cheating, not obeying God’s Command and doing bad things.
‘When my fundamental rights are denied’
Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism towards someone or something. I get angry when I do not get what I want; when I’m ignored; when lies are being told against me; when I’m forced to do something I do not feel like doing; I’m told I’m wrong, when I’m right; when I’m not given the opportunity to express my feelings; when my fundamental rights are denied. Anger destroys.

‘People offend me and never bother to apologize’
Anger is an emotion towards someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, or motivate you to find solutions to problems. I might get angry if: • Someone dares me or pushes me beyond my limit. • People offend me and never bother to apologize. • Am accused unjustly or blamed without reason. • My good deed is not appreciated or acknowledged. But we should pray hard to control our anger.
‘I get angry when people tell lies’
Anger can be defined as a feeling of annoyance or displeasure towards someone or something. I get angry when people tell lies, when people abuse me and act proud around me. I can also get angry with myself, especially when I don’t get what I want but that anger doesn’t last long. In all we should learn to control our anger, because it can cause more bad than good.
