In a bid to educate individuals in maintaining purity in relationships and identifying signs of unhealthy unions, the Young Christian Workers Movement (YCW), the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), in collaboration with the Human Life Unit of Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, Omole Estate, Phase 1, Ikeja, Lagos, organised the 2024 Valentine’s Day in style. The event tagged, “Love and sexual purity in the sight of God”, held in the church premises, garnered significant attention, with attendees expressing gratitude for the insightful discussions.
Practical advice on communication and seeking support was also provided. Attendees found the programme enlightening, with many stating they now feel empowered to navigate relationships with clarity and confidence. The event concluded with a prayer for all individuals seeking guidance in their relationships. The facilitators on the occasion, included Major Kalu Chibuzor Egwuagu, member, 60 Regular Combatant Course Nigerian Army, Mrs. Ada Offor, Director in NAFDAC, a Leader and member of the CCRN, and Christianah Olukanni, a certified human resource practitioner with a strategic mindset for talent acquisition and identification. The facilitators all emphasized on the importance of self-respect and setting boundaries in relationships.
