For more than a century, St. Paul Catholic Church has been a centrepiece of Lagos, and Ebute Metta communities. Few weeks ago, the parishioners celebrated its 120th anniversary. Very Rev. Fr. Michael-Christian Okonkwo, Parish Priest and Dean, Yaba Deanery noted that the St. Paul Catholic Church, Ebute-Metta, the first Roman Catholic Church on Lagos Mainland, founded in 1900 has multiple historic and spiritual significance associated with it.
