St Joseph was engaged to Mary when the angel told her that she will have a baby, so Joseph who always did what is right, but did not want to disgrace Mary publicly, so he made plans to break the engagement privately, but the angel of the lord appeared to him and told him not to be afriad to take Mary as his wife and he shall name the baby JESUS, because he will save the people from danger and Joseph did as the angel has said and when the baby was born he named him JESUS.
