It was a glorious and historical day on July 17, 2021, when St. Anne Catholic Church, PPL Okokomaiko celebrated the sacrament of Holy Matrimony for 31 couples, in a group wedding ceremony. The entire parishioners, especially the couples were overwhelmed with joy seeing 31 couples coming back to the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. The occasion was made possible through the pastoral initiatives of the Priest-in-Charge, Rev. Fr. Mike Offordum, MSP with his great supports. Also, the evangelical works of various pious societies, and that of the Small Christian Communities (SCC), in the parish, paved the way, in accomplishing this mission. The couples started their marriage course in January 2021, which lasted for six months, and despite the challenges, most of them faced during this period, their zeal and determination got them to the finishing line. Some were given the sacrament of baptism during Easter vigil (for those converted to the catholic faith). The happiness radiating on the faces of the couples were overwhelming, when they received the body and blood of Jesus Christ, at the Mass. At the end of the Mass, came the grand reception organized by the parish for the newly wedded couples and their friends and well-wishers. It was indeed a great day for all the parishioners; and this memory will remain on the minds of the parishioners
