Two children of the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA), Lagos Archdiocese present poems on the association’s theme for the year, tagged, “We are children of one Father – God”.
All tongues, all colours
By Chidera Anayochukwu
Children, we are all from one great Father
In whatever chime nature or chance hath cast the
seeds of life
We are children of one Father
God loves and cares for us
Because we his children and he is our Father.
All tongues, all colours
Neither after death
Shall we be sorted into languages
And tints, whites, black and taing, Greek and Goth
North men and offspring of Africa.
The all-Father, he in whom we live and move
Regards, nations and hues and dialects alike
According to their works shall be judged
When even-handled justice in the scale their good
and evils weighs
So he protects us
So in return we are to obey, love and do what he likes
God is our Father and we are his children
The Bible says in
John 1 vs. 12
But as many has
received him
Jesus to them is
their Father.
