A renowned philanthropist,
Madam Mopelola Sidikat Og-
bolu-Animashaun is dead,
aged 69 years.
Married to a regular combatant in
the Nigerian Army, Lt. Col. Babatunde
Hakeem Ogbolu-Animashaun (Retd)
and a one time Chairman, Eti-Osa Lo-
cal Government, Lagos State, she was
born 28th June, 1950.
She attended Methodist Primary
School, Yaba and Jubril Martins Me-
morial Grammar School, Iponri, La-
gos.
While in the United States of Amer-
ica with her husband, she attended
school of Cosmetology, Tennessee
and another in Kentucky. On arrival
to Nigeria, she established Lola Beau-
ty Salon, which remained a beehive of
activities for patrons and trainees until
retirement.
She is survived by her husband and
four children- Barr. Mrs. Omobola
Omotimirin, Mr. Bolarinwa Ani-
mashaun, a banker and a philanthro-
pist who donates to Pacaeli School for
the Blind, Surulere every Yuletide sea-
son, Ms. Adunola Animashaun, and
Ms. Titilola Animashaun.
She was buried in accordance with
Muslim rites, while an elaborate recep-
tion took place in Eko Club, Surulere.
