The dream of erecting a befitting
chapel of Perpetual Adoration at
Holy Cross Cathedral is already
crystallizing into a reality.
This followed the recent turning of
sod for the project by Archbishop Al-
fred Adewale Martins last Sunday, thus
marking the official commencement of
the building.
The historic event was witnessed by
hundreds of parishioners of Holy Cross
Cathedral, with the Administrator, Rev
Fr Marcellinus Teko on ground to assist
the Archbishop through the prayer ses-
sion and blessings on the site.
Located within the Cathedral, by the
left, when completed, the chapel would
cater for the spiritual needs of worshi-
pers as the Blessed Sacrament would be
exposed for adoration in the quietude of
the chapel.
This was affirmed by the Archbishop
who noted that it was long overdue. The
Archbishop said it would go a long way
to help the spiritual life of the people.
He hoped that it would be complet-
ed in March this year and open for the
spiritual growth and nourishment of all.
