The Patriarch of the Shodunke Dynasty of Eruwon, Ake, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State and one of the founding fathers of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Boys town, Ipaja Deanery of the Archdiocese of Lagos, Pa Augustine Olajide Shodunke has passed on. He was aged 101 years. The centenarian passed on in the early hours of Sunday 2nd October at his residence 19, Alimosho Road, Dopemu, Agege off Abeokuta Expressway. According to the family spokesman, Sir Augustine Shodunke, KSM, the journey to eternity of the centenarian started on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 with the Service of Songs by the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Ferdinand Chapter, followed by the Society of St. Anthony of Pardua. Thursday November 10, 2022 Christian Wake, and then interment on Friday, November 11, November, at Atan Cementery, Yaba after Funeral Mass at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Boystown Ipaja. Entertainment of guests took place at the LTV 8, Blue Roof, Agidingbi, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Pa Shodunke is survived by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, among whom is, Sir. Ayodele Shodunke, KSM St. Catherine Catholic Church, Alakuko, Alagbado, Lagos and cousin, Rev. Fr. Theodore Martinos, Parish Priest, St. Dennis Catholic Church, Akoka, Lagos.
