The Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe was celebrated last Sunday, November 22, 2020 all over the world. In commemoration of the feast, LADY AMUKPO reached out to two Children to write a story on Christ the King from their respective perspectives backed with their drawings of the King of the Universe. Enjoy.
Once upon a time, there lived a place called the earth, it was very void, dark and lonely. Then came a man (God) who saw the earth and was not pleased. He had the power in him and created all things we enjoy today, the sunlight, rainfall, cool air, plant, animals and many more. His son is our Messiah who was born by Mary, He was the Messiah who died for our sin over 33AD. We proclaim him as CHRIST THE KING OF THE UNIVERSE (the universal King) which we proclaim on the last Sunday of the Ordinary Time in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. He was given birth to by Mary who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and his earthly father Joseph who was a Carpenter. He was born in Bethlehem. He is the king of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the end, the Lion of Judas, The Ocean Divider, The Rock of Ages, and today we proclaim him the King of the Universe which is the Solemnity of Christ the King which means as a Christian we should tell people about Jesus Christ the son of God and we should convince the unbeliever to believe in Jesus as their Saviour who laid his life on the cross for you and I.

Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe, the founder of Christianity – the way, the truth and the life to the Father. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father as King, He was there in the beginning that was why the Father said “Let us” make man in our own image and likeness. The Solemnity of Christ as King of the Universe is celebrated annually in the Catholic Church. The nature of Christ Kingship and Kingdom is beautifully described and explained in his style of leadership: • Kingdom of Truth and of Life • Kingdom of Holiness and Grace • Kingdom of Justice, of Love and of Peace Pope Pius XI Instituted the Feast of Christ the King in 1925, his intention is to make the faithful aware of the Kingship, the Government of Christ who should rule over our life and the whole world. No wonder even as a child born in a stable was acknowledge as King, homage was given to him in adoration by the Magi and they offered Him a gift of Gold, Frank Incense and Myrrh.
