The management of Abia
Warriors of Umuahia has
condemned the violence
that trailed their last
weekend’s game against sister club,
Enyimba of Aba.
The management in a statement
signed by Club chairman Pastor
Emeka Inyama frowned at the ugly
incident that saw Enyimba boss, Felix
Anyansi Agwu being hit by a stray
missile.
“The Umuahia Township Stadium
has the record as the most peaceful
stadium in Nigeria and this is the first
time we have witnessed such an ugly
incident,” Inyama stated.

He added: “We sincerely sympha-
tise with the Chairman Chief Felix

Anyansi Agwu of Enyimba who was
mistakenly hit by a stray missile as he
had gone with me to calm the fans
down.”
Inyama stressed that he was at the
Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia
to ensure that the injured Enyimba
boss was given immediate medical
attention, even as he vowed that the
club would take security measures
to fish out those who initiated the
horrific incident.
“Abia Warriors have put up the
necessary security measures to ensure
the people who initiated the horrific
incident were brought to book,”
Inyama declared.
