Yes. It requires enough
synergy to meet up with the

above. That is the aspir-
ing goal of every person

born into this world, who wants to
succeed. One is born to fulfill his goal
or childhood dream. One cannot
do it alone. One needs someone to
succeed in life. One needs direction
to clear some of the obstacles that

may be on the way. Mental prepara-
tion and urge to push one’s self ahead

is needed to be on the highway of
progress. As we live in the world, we
look around and we see those who
have succeeded in life and if we do
not want to be left behind we can ask
questions on how they have made it.
Asking questions help us clear some
of the cloudy views on certain things
we want to do but proper views of
them through those who have made
it in life can help people look forward
to achieving something in life. The
motivation is there to ginger one to
take steps to achieving something.
One should know that success in life
is not achieved at a drop of a hat. It is
a continuous effort, non-stop but full
of obstacles, falling and rising, crying
and blaming people but confidence in
one’s self is the watch word. Since life
does not offer one a bed of roses we
must try our best so that we cannot
be left behind.
Life is a struggle. Man himself is a
struggling man. Man wakes up early
like animals in search of his daily
bread. He cannot take extra sleep but
he has to go out for his little business
for time does not wait for any person.
What you can do today should not
be postponed to tomorrow for today

cannot come again. Wise people
make proper use of their time. There
is time management and those who
manage their time and plans very well
are on the road to success. Success
smiles at people who are futuristic
and who make use of the opportunity
offered. There are people born with
silver spoon in their mouth; their case
may be different but it is good for
one to be his own person. Many who
live on their parents’ success are not
envied by others but only the poor.
Many abuse their parents’ fortunes
and fail to be a part of extension of
their parents’ fortunes. Many of them
live artificial lives. As they wake up in
the morning, everything is there for
them. They do not need to labour like
the sons of a farmer who go to farm
with their parents.
When we work, we transform our
lives and also transform the economy
of the nation. If we begin to rely only
on those who have inherited fortunes
from their parents, the life of the

nation will not be balanced econom-
ically and even spiritually. Nigeria

cannot be left behind because she can
pay dearly for being left behind. She
can muster courage and exceed the
achievements of past Administrations
and not being stagnant or get worse.
She cannot continue being naïve,

cynical or arrogant to accept criti-
cisms. It is pathetic to use someone as

an excuse for staying behind. It is true
that nobody likes to be left behind
but we have to put into consideration
the individual factor. The individual
may have some hang-ups such as:
delay syndrome, phobia and lack of
confidence to confront the reality of

his life. Many would like to overcome
the obstacles of life but they have not
overcome the obstacles in themselves.
They need strong drive to help them
scale some of these obstacles. To live
in this world without fulfilling one’s
self is like being a robot.
Many people have been stranded in
life and living miserable lives without
finding answer to their life situations.
The reason is that they have failed
to find answers to their problems, to
grow and be better people. They have

imprisoned themselves to think neg-
atively that there is nothing they can

do about themselves. We have to know

that in human history, people left leg-
acies that inspire people today. E.g the

inventors of Electricity, Airplane are

always remembered for their contribu-
tions. There are lots we can learn from

the Syrian migrants who have been
on the road for five years. They have
been struggling, looking for a country
to call their own home. Some tried
and were rejected but they continue
to move from one country to another
with hope. When hope dies one is
finished. Yes. Nobody wants to be left
behind except one defeated by fate but
they are rare in today’s world. We need
to have a strong sense of resolution to
be on the same page with others.
We cannot really be ourselves if we

rely on quick fixes. If the current gov-
ernment can listen to what is happen-
ing in other countries where people

express their minds and anger where
things are not working without push
backs, things would be okay. People
in Hong-Kong, Venezuela, Puerto
Rico found their government bizarre
and decided to show their disapproval

through protests, the Police were not
violent to them. In Puerto Rico they
were on the streets for many months
protesting. They accused their leader

of corruption and called for his step-
down and the governor succumbed

to their request and stepped down.
There is growing sensitivity to various
opinions about herdsmen and RUGA
program. Nigerians are very nervous
over these issues that were never well

discussed before planned implemen-
tation. Nigeria is hot now because of

many killings and threats from the
government. The government is very
sensitive to what people say about
their flawed policies and struggle to
arrest those who oppose them unlike
in other countries where people are
free to oppose what does not yield
economic dividend. Political, ethnic
and religious ideologies are among the
elements holding us behind in Nigeria.
We need to know that the world has
gone global and insular ideas cannot
help us to cope with other countries
using technology to develop their areas
and create wealth for their people. That

is our situation and concerns for Nige-
ria now. Looking for financial aid form

our former Colonial Masters is not the
solution. Our technology should be
home driven
