I have been enjoying reading The Catholic Herald since my seminary days about two decades ago – Fr. Adimike
I have been enjoying reading The Catholic Herald since my seminary days about two decades ago. I never failed to buy The Catholic Herald of Lagos and Catholic Independent of Ibadan. The Leader, Owerri, The Catholic Herald, Lagos, and Independent, Ibadan, of course, our own Trinitas Newspapers, made my day during my seminary days. With the current team, The Catholic Herald of Lagos is fast rivaling the Herald of London. The Catholic Herald of Lagos and Catholic Herald of London. Congratulations to the Directorate of Communications and the Editorial Team. The Editor is really mastery. Yea, w e do not expect anything less from the Lagos Archdiocese. Long live Mrs. Neta Nwosu! Long live Fr. Tony Godonu! Long live Archbishop Alfred Martins!
• Very Rev. Fr. George Adimike is the Director of Social Communications, Archdiocese of Onitsha.
The Catholic Herald has survived the volcanic eruption of digital transformation – Fr. Dyikuk
It is heart warming to know that The Catholic Herald has survived the volcanic eruption of digital transformation by beating other religious tabloids that have gone into unknown archives. For 100 years, the first Catholic newspaper in Nigeria which began before many secular newspapers on the newsstand today has trailblazed as the glitz and glamour of ecclesiastical print journalism in the West African nation. In the words of Katherine Gaskin, like pineapple, it stands tall, wears a crown and is sweet on the inside. I join my voice with that of thousands of well-wishers to heartily congratulate the Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lagos, Most Rev. (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins; the Archdiocesan’s Social Communication’s Director, Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Godonu and the indefatigable Editor, Lady Neta Nwosu on this auspicious cente- nar y celebration of dogged journalism for God and humanity. May the unveiling ceremony of the centenary logo inspire all those involved in the production of the foremost Catholic newspaper to uphold its timeless motto: Love, Humility and Truth. Congratulations! Ad multos annos!
