The power of prayer
Being an MCA Child have made me to have a total faith in prayer, having been taught that ‘ Praying with faith in GOD includes faith in HIS timing like in time of difficulties it turns out that our minds are hard to perform at their best than when they face a positive situation. Praying to GOD always give us patience as a companion of wisdom which helps us to know that calm acceptance that things will happen in a different order than the one we have in mind. The Grace of GOD’s word is our most powerful weapon that gives us hope and encouragement any time we pray. Please my fellow Missionaries never doubt the power of prayer for whenever you pray, the longer it takes for your prayer to happen, the more you will appreciate it when it finally does. I believe that the only way GOD can show us HE is in control is to always put us in situations we can’t control, so alway be still and never give up for PRAYER is the key to GOD’s will in our life. I pledge to PRAY always as an MCA Child…
Why the Bible was written
The bible was written to show us, all have broken God’s law. The Old Testament is the sacred scriptures of the Jewish faith written at different times and the New Testament were written by Christians in the first century. God’s law reveals how all people have sinned against Him are deserving the fullness of his judgment. However, the whole point of the Bible concerns JESUS. Jesus Christ is the saviour of the world. In the Gospel of John 1: 29, John the Baptist saw Jesus coming and called him “the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world”. The Gospel proclaims the good news that through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross our sins have been paid for and God wrath satisfied. By His resurrection all who believe shall receive eternal life. Therefore the word of God is a light and a lamp because it shows how all have fallen short of God’s law and how Jesus lovingly came to save sinners by dying in their place. This message of law and gospel shows us the incredible mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. In Psalm the writer proclaims the importance of the word of God. God’s word is a light and light to all who hear and read it. What people don’t know is that the Psalm is an extremely structured poem praising the word of God.
Exaltation of the Holy Cross
Exaltation of the Holy cross also called Universal exaltation of the holy and life giving Cross or Holy cross day, liturgical feasts celebrated on September 14 to honour the cross on which Jesus was crucified. In the eastern churches, the feast dates back to the dedication of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (the site of Christ tomb ). In Jerusalem circa 335, it was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church in the 7th century and is also observed in various Protestant traditions including Lutheranism and Anglicanism. The Universal symbol of the Catholic faith is the cross , it represents Christ’s victory over death, the feast celebrates the redemptive transformation of a barbaric instruments of torture into a divine tree of love life that brings hope to humankind . The Exaltation of the Holy cross also commemorates the discovery of the true Cross , legends holds that the relic was found by St. Helena, Mother of Constantine the great during her pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I pray that we would always believe that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins and he watches over us from Heaven.
