How are you participating in the Church as MCA children to proclaim the gospel? What do you think God wants you to do in order to promote the message of Christ?
‘As an MCA child, my attitude teaches good morals to other children’
I am glad to be a member of the MCA because the MCA has really influenced my path. As an MCA child, my attitude teaches good morals to other children that are not yet members of the MCA. MCA children do not make noise in the house of God. We are well coordinated and always attentive. MCA children never distract other children or allow themselves to get distracted in Church. MCA children never chew gum or eat any form of snacks in the church or during Holy mass. MCA children diligently clean and tidy the church as scheduled. MCA children do not read magazines or any other articles when the Gospel is going on. MCA children never insult, abuse or speak foul words to anyone. MCA children do not tell lies, cheat, sag or expose their bodies in the church or outside the church. God wants me to promote the message of Christ by doing the following: 1. God wants me to love him and also love my neigbour. 2. He wants me to be truthful, respectful and obedient to the teachings of the church. 3. He wants me to be prayerful and always study my Bible so as to know Him, know His word and to keep it.

‘I try to assist children who are in need because our MCA motto is “children helping children”
I am participating in the Church as an MCA child by attending meetings regularly; participating in any activity organized by the Church e.g. Church Warden and the MCA. I listen attentively during the homily at Mass and also during MCA meetings where the teachings of Jesus Christ are also taught. I proclaim the gospel through my characters and behaviour towards other children because according to a Saying “action speaks louder than words”. I try to assist children who are in need because our MCA motto is “children helping children”. I do not forget to be obedient to God’s commandments and be merciful to others with these I can promote Christ’s message. I will always forgive those who offend me, be truthful and honest in everything I do so people can know Christ through me

‘Discussing the gospel MCA seeks to emphasise on the superiority of Christ in living and learning’
As an MCA member, there are many good ways that I have been proclaiming the gospel, few examples are: 1. Praying together with my MCA members. 2. Reading the scriptures together. 3. Taking my friends to Church. 4. Discussing the gospel MCA seeks to emphasise on the superiority of Christ in living and learning. God wants me to do the following in order to promote the message of Christ: • Giving water to the thirsty. • Clothing the naked. • Donating what I have to the less privileged. For example, clothing the naked, we donate clothes that we do not wear anymore to those who need them.

‘I visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and pray for all the children in the whole world’
As an MCA child, I attend MCA meetings regularly and every Sunday, I attend Mass early and help in cleaning the Church pews and sweeping. On week days when I am less busy, I visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and pray for all the children in the whole world. I also preach the gospel to unbelievers so that they will know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and he loves little children. In order to promote the message of Christ, I visit the orphanage, the motherless babies and give alms to the poor and also let them know that Christ is with them in whatever they do. I will also advice everyone to contribute financially to the feeding of motherless babies and also let them know that Jesus is there for everyone who needs a friend.

‘We take readings during Mass as lectors and also sing during Mass as choristers’
The MCA children of the Catholic Church of the Nativity, Festac Town have participated in proclaiming the Gospel in different ways. We take readings during Mass as lectors and also sing during Mass as choristers. We presented a little drama during Mass to give an insight on the presentation of the Child Jesus in the temple and the need for its Collection.
