… Appoints new Patrons and Patronesses
The 2022 Children’s Day with the Archbishop took place penultimate Saturday, precisely November 5, 2022. The annual event was preceded with the Eucharist celebration at the Catholic Church of the Ascension Airport Road, Ikeja with His Grace Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos as the Chief Celebrant and assisted by some priests; notably Very Rev Msgr. Bernard Okodua, Episcopal Vicar Lagos Region, Very Rev Msgr. Patrick Obayomi, Dean Ikeja Deanery, Very Rev Msgr. Jerome Oduntan, Co-ordinator of Pontifical Missionary Union, (PMU), Very Rev. Fr. Simeon Irabor, Director of Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), and Very Rev. Fr. Jerome Omoregie, Parish Priest. The new Patrons and Patronesses include: Engr. (Dr.) Charles Mbelede, KSM, Mr. & Mrs. Fajoyomi, Mrs. Amaka Okafor, Mr. Anukwu Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. Johnpaul Agba. Others are, Mr. Yohanna Felix, Mrs. Eucharia Chukwubuokem and Lolo Nkechi Ike. Special Award was bestowed on Chief (Barr.) Mrs. Philomena Omorodion the immediate past President of the Catholic Women Organization Lagos Archdiocese (CWONLA) as MCA Grand Patroness by Archbishop Martins. The event which was impressively coordinated by Rev. Sr. Doris Gali, SHCJ was followed by a grand Reception.
