A parishioner of value, in St. Michael Catholic Quasi Parish, Ilogbo-Eremi in Ijanikin Deanery, Major General Adebayo Patrick Falola, recently celebrated his sixtieth birthday with a Thanksgiving Mass and fun filled reception, organised by his children in a show of appreciation for making them who they are today. In his homily, the Priest-incharge, Rev. Fr. Joseph Monye Jnr said Maj. Gen. Falola is a man that deserve to be honoured and celebrated because of his high Christian values and principles, emphasizing that he has an enduring romance with the sacraments and well versed with the catechesis and the liturgy of the church. Despite his status, he is full of humility, living an exemplary Christian life worthy of emulation, he said. According to priest, Major General Fasola uses his time, experience and treasure to develop the parish. He is also a philanthropist who impacts on lives of the needy while remaining anonymous. Maj. Gen. Falola, an Ophthalmologist Surgeon by training, is a member of the Lagos Catholic Archdiocesan Health Committee; and the current Chairman, Parish Health Committee.

While at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba, he was Chairman, Health Ministry of the parish. The third degree Knight of St. Mulumba, is a Zonal leader of Zone 4, Badagry Sub-Council, Knights of St. Mulumba. He spent forty one years of his life rendering diligent and meritorious service to his fatherland in the military. He is happily married to Mrs. Fidelia Falola and blessed with four children – Mrs. Anne Oyindamola Bello, Dr. Deji Falola, Miss Folasayo Falola and Mr. Moyosore Falola. When asked about his take for the future, he said he would want to live the rest of his life worshiping God; to his family love, and to humanity service and charity. He would want the youths in the parish to see integrity, diligence, hard work and fear of God, as watchword for enjoying a secured future. He wants Church organizations and pious societies to embark more on projects, while deemphasizing entertainments.
