The death has occurred of a prominent parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Okokomaiko, Lagos, Mrs. Catherine Mary Ashemi Sule Nee Okiokio. Aged 82, she died on 10th Feb 2021 after a brief illness. During her lifetime, Mrs. Sule, a native of Delta State, attended Our Lady of Apostles Convent School, Warri and later proceeded to Holy Cross Training College, Oron where she obtained the Grade lll certificate and also Government Teachers Training College, Surulere Lagos. She was later to obtain Teacher Associateship Diploma from the University of Lagos. Mrs. Sule who retired in 1997 as a Head Teacher after 34 years in service, was a member of several societies in the Church such as Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary; St. Jude Society and Friends of St. Patrick Society. Funeral arrangement will commence with a Requiem Mass at St Michael’s Catholic Church, Tamandu Barracks, Apapa by 10a.m, while Funeral Mass will hold at Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos, followed by internment at Ebony Private Vault, Ikoyi, Lagos.
