…As two families are blessed after fourteen years of waiting

Married couples have been asked to keep faith alive in their journey through marital life. Rev. Fr. John Francis Ibanga, the Associate Parish priest, St Denis Catholic Church, Akoka, Bariga, Lagos, gave the advice at the thanksgiving of two families who have been blessed with babies after a long wait. Fr. Ibanga enjoined married couples, especially those going through marital life with difficulties of conceiving to be patient, even as he emphasized that bearing children is a divine gift from God.

The joy of Mr. Blaise Nwaneti and Mr. Henry Maduabuchukwu’s families knew no bounds on Sunday, 24 April, 2022 as well wishers and parishioners alike joined them as they sang joyfully in thanksgiving to God for gift of babies after fourteen years of waiting. In his homily the Priest averred, “Not all journeys in life is smooth, and devoid of challenges.

There could be pains and challenges sometimes untold, are borne, endured with patience and resignation in waiting on the Lord. Like our Mother Mary, Christian families must endeavour to put all our hopes; trust in life’s journey in the ability of God to do the impossible.” The Church felicitates with both families on what the Lord has done for them to savour marital bliss.
