Ipaja Deanery Laity Council elects new Executives

S aturday, April 17, witnessed a change of guard at the Ipaja Deanery Laity Council as Prince Clement Oluwarotimi Akinniyi came on board as the new helmsman after defeating two other candidates in a keenly contested election at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Boys town Iyana Ipaja. Until his election as the new Chairman, Rotimi Akinniyi was the Financial Secretary of the Deanery on the platform at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Igbogila. A Banking and Finance graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago- iwoye, Ogun State, Akinniyi retired from the service of First Bank Nig. Plc as a management staff a couple of years back. In his post-election speech, Akinniyi thanked the members and promised to inject new life into the administration of the Deanery. Some of the officers elected along with the Chairman were Mrs. Justina c. Odey, Vice chairman; Engr. Francis Igwe, Secretary; Mr. Valentine Omosebi, Assistant Secretary; Engr. (Mrs.) Lauretta Uwak, Treasurer and Mr.Edwin Ossai, Financial Secretary. Other newly elected officers include Mr. Ebere Okpalanwa, P.R.O; Mrs. Stella Thompson, Welfare Officer and Mr. Marcus Oluojo, Provost.
