Inauguration of new Executives: A new chapter in CWONLA’s history

The new elected Executives of the Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria, Lagos Archdiocese (CWONLA), were inaugurated on Thursday, August 11, 2021 at the Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos during the Holy Mass concelebrated by His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos and Rev. Msgr-Elect Patrick Obayomi, Chaplain, CWON, Lagos Ecclesiastical Province (CWONLEP) and CWONLA. The new Executive team comprises Mrs. Pauline Nebo, President; Mrs. Catherine Alabi, 1st Vice President; Mrs. Nneka Okenwa, 2nd Vice President; Mrs. Ijeoma Okafor, Secretary; Lolo Lauretta Aguleru, Assistant Secretary; Mrs. Ngozi Chukwuma, Treasurer; Mrs. Uche Alex-Okeke, Financial Secretary; Mrs. Agatha Odii, Assistant Financial Secretary; Dame Felicia Okoli, PRO.

Others include Mrs. Joyce Ofere, Assistant PRO; Mrs. Esther Uzu, Social Secretary; Mrs. Scholastica Eboigwu, Assistant Social Secretary; Princess Francisca Idemudia, Welfare Officer I; Princess Roseline Egbedi, Welfare Officer II; Mrs. Joan Oboh, Provost I; Mrs. Re- becca Ojeaga, Provost II; Mrs. Tinuade Fowler, Internal Auditor I; and Mrs. Rhoda Martins, Internal Auditor II. His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins congratulated the newly elected Executives and urged them to make spiritual growth paramount in their minds. The new President, Mrs. Pauline Nebo reiterated her resolve to make the CWONLA greater as well as maintain peace and unity. While reaffirming her willingness to drive the goals of the organisation irrespective of divergent views, she stated, “We must collectively stand and be ready to implement them by the grace of God.

“United we stand divided we fall” Let us do it together so that we can collectively further take CWONLA to greater heights. Through Mary our Mother, we succeed!” The event was also attended by Rev. Sr. Mary Pia Shade-Adesanyan, National Sister Adviser, CWON; Rev. Sr. Agnes Adepogu, Sister Adviser CWONLA; Dame Marie Fatayi-Williams, Patroness, CWONLA; and a host of others. Rev. Msgr –Elect Patrick Obayomi, Rev. Sr. Mary Pia Shade-Adesanyan and Rev. Sr. Agnes Adepogu coordinated the inauguration ceremony while Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins blessed the new team.
