- Contemplate the Sacred Heart of Jesus; Immaculate Heart of Mary
I heartily welcome you to the month of June, 2024. This month marks the end of the first half of the calendar year, as the Church continues the second part of the season of Ordinary Time of the Year; a period of growth. It is a month in which we are called to reflect on the special gift that our Lord Jesus Christ gave to us at the Last Supper – His Body and Blood in the Holy Eucharist. In this month, we will also contemplate the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This month presents us with these important feast days: St. Justin Martyr (1st June), Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (2nd June), St. Charles Lwanga and Companions (3rd June), St. Boniface (5th June), St. Norbert (6th June), Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (7th June), Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary (8th June), St. Anthony of Padua (13th June), St. Aloysius Gonzaga (21st June), Solemnity of the Nativity of John the Baptist (24th June), St. Irenaeus (28th June), and Solemnity of Ss. Peter and Paul (29th June).
…Archbishop’s intention for June 2024
For Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life: We pray for young men and women who wish to serve God as priests and religious that the Lord of the harvest who calls and chooses will give them the graces needed to be diligent, faithful and selfless in their desire to work in his vineyard.
