In Luke 14, verse 15, Jesus invited everyone to partake in His banquet stressing that everyone has access to freely forge relationship with Him but with a proviso that not all invited will partake in His banquet. The biblical parable of the Great Banquet sheds light into God’s invitation for forgiveness and His limitless love through Jesus Christ. BETTY AMUKPO engaged some children on how we can invite people to the banquet of Jesus Christ. They responded thus:
‘The banquet of Christ is an open invitation to all’
Jesus Christ extends an open invitation to everyone to partake in the banquet of eternal life (Matthew 22:1-14). This celestial feast symbolises God’s boundless love and redemption. Revelation 22:17 reassures us, “Whosoever will, let them come.” Regardless of our past or present, Christ welcomes us to His table. Through His sacrifice, He offers forgiveness, peace, and joy (Psalm 34:8). In Communion, we remember His selfless love (Matthew 26:26). Isaiah 55:7 beckons us to turn from our ways and receive mercy. Matthew 11:28 promises rest for the weary. Jesus assures us, “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst” (John 4:14). Come with a humble heart, ready to receive His love, forgiveness, and redemption. The Banquet of Christ is an open invitation to all. Let us accept and partake in His eternal life.

‘ God deserves a relationship with you’
The parable of the Wedding Banquet is an invitation for all. Just like the king in the story, God desires a relationship with you. ” For many are invited, but few are chosen.” Bible verses: – Luke 14:15-25 – Luke 14:12-24 Luke 14:12-24 states, “But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed.” Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteousn. Jesus’ parable about the Great Banquet sheds light into God’s invitation for forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Jesus uses the parable as a warning to those who think they’re in the kingdom of God when they are not. Being admitted into God’s kingdom is based on an active response to his invitation through Jesus. Banquet means an elaborate meal, often called a feast.

‘By sharing His message of love, salvation and unity’
I would invite all to the banquet of Christ by sharing His message of love, salvation, and unity. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Everyone is welcome to the table of grace (Luke 14:16- 24), finding peace in His presence (John 6:35).

‘I will invite others to the banquet of Christ by allowing myself reflect the kingdom of Christ’
I would invite others to the banquet of Christ by allowing myself to reflect the kingdom of God (Luke 14:12-24). The invitation to the banquet of Christ is an invitation to have a close and personal relationship with Jesus. I’m the “salt and light” of the world, as described in Matthew 5:13-16, means I must embody and share God’s love, wisdom, and goodness in a way that positively impacts others and bring glory to Him. May God make us useful instruments to invite people to the banquet of Christ and may the Holy Spirit make them accept the invitation. Amen.

‘ The things I do and the way I do them must influence people to partake in the banquet’
‘ The Banquet of Christ, also known as the Wedding Feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9), is a joyful celebration of salvation and unity in Jesus Christ. I would invite others to the banquet of Christ (Luke 14:12- 24) by sharing the message of God’s love and salvation through Jesus. The things I do and the way I do them must reflect Jesus in me (Romans 13:14), so that they may want to partake in the banquet. May God use us as vessels to share the good news by filling our hearts with love and compassion, so that many may accept the invitation to the banquet of Christ.

‘Inviting people to Christ’s banquet is giving them opportunity to listening and spreading His gospel’
Inviting people to the Banquet of Christ is a way of fostering relationships, harmony and also giving people the opportunity to listen to the word of God and act positively on it. It’s a way of spreading the ways of Christ which we will be repaid handsomely. It’s also backed up with a verse in the Book of Luke 14:12, which states, “When you put on a luncheon or a banquet, don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbours. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.”

‘By welcoming everyone to share in His joyful feast’
I will celebrate the Banquet of Christ, where all are invited to partake in His abundant grace and love! For the Bible quotes thus, “Come, for everything is now ready” (Luke 14:17). Just as the Master invites the weary and lost (Matthew 11:28), we welcome everyone to share in this joyful feast. Let us gather together in fellowship and worship, reflecting His glory! “For I know the plans I have for you” (Jeremiah 29:11). Your presence would be a blessing!

‘First, we should treat everyone equally regardless of their social status’
First, we should treat everyone equally regardless of their social status. Luke 14:15-24: “God sent his son into the world but many people rejected Him, the kingdom of heaven is open to anyone who accepts God’s righteousness through faith rather than relying on their own good. I will invite people to the banquet of Christ by being considerate and careful. Jesus taught us that when we gather, we should not just invite those who we know and who are like us rather we should invite the needy, cripple, lame and blind.
