Former Green Eagles midfield maestro, Henry Nwosu has been named Head of Veterans in the new executive of the All Nigeria Players Union (ANPU). This much was confirmed in a release made available to newstap.com.ng by the body’s Board of Trustees chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi. Iloenyosi further disclosed that former Golden Eaglets coach, Manu Garba would serve in the technical department of ANPU’s expanded Exco. Falcon Women beats Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U teams 5-1 in harvest novelty match
The Catholic women group, Falcon Women on Saturday, October 9, 2021 beat the Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U combined teams 5-1 in a novelty match. Lady Idowu Nwosu, LSM, Coach of the Falcon Women team said the novelty match is part of the activities designed to celebrate Harvest of Gratitude of The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, Lagos. According to her, football being a global game attracts huge number of people, “we feel a novelty match symbolises togetherness and excitement that can be associated with Harvest of parishioners expressing gratitude to God for all His mercies and blessings; and we are calling on all Nigerians to join parishioners of The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, to show gratitude to God.” The Coaches for the Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U teams were Pedro Momodu, Onyeka lkechukwu and Obinna Mbaneme. The Falcon Women Team won in all categories and a giant golden trophy was given to the jubilating women whose victorious dance transformed into a carnival. The Co-ordinator of the tournament was Chief David Egbe, KSM.
