The NFF delegation led by president, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau paid a visit to recuperating Tijani Babangida at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria. The former Nigeria International was involved in a ghastly motor accident alongside his family recently. The road mishap took the life of Tijani’s son and brother who was a former U-17 player Ibrahim Babangida.

The Anambra FA Chairman, Gen Chikelue Iloenyosi who accompanied Gusau on the visit disclosed he was heartbroken when he got the news of the unfortunate incident. He prayed God to accept the souls of the departed and for the quick recovery of Tijani. He went on to say that the Babangida family is one he has been close with for ages. Also among the delegates are NFF Technical Director Austin Egwuavon, Bauchi FA Chairman Patrick Paschal, Former Sporting Director of Enyimba Jude Anyadufu, Muktar Aliko among others.
