Guild of Actors suspend production

The effects of the coronavirus is also being felt in the entertainment industry as the Actors Guild Of Nigeria has Directed all its members to quit all production sets with Immediate effect. The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas gave this directive recently. The purpose of the directive is to protect members of the guild from the outbreak of the deadly Corona virus. The letter written by the National President to All States Chairmen contained the followings: The National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Eiezie Erneka Rollas acting in strict adherence to the ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the dreaded Corona virus, directed all members of AGN to quit all production sets with immediate effect till the situation improves. The President directs the AGN National Task Force to lockdown all production sets where members are involved across the country to ensure the protection of members from the dreaded COVlD-19 Virus. The National President also set up an Emergency Relief Committee for the Guild to assist members in distress and require urgent assistance. The emergency number is 09096335790. Mr Rollas, advises all members to observe strict procedure processes of good hygiene and immediately report any suspicious health issues to NCDC on 08097000010, emphasizing that nothing should be taken for granted at this delicate time of the global pandemic.
