Medical experts have warned that there could be an unprecedented upsurge in new cases of the coronavirus infectious globally. They fear that America and Europe may be worse hit by the expected upsurge owing to the recent wide anti racism protests that followed the death of George Floyd. The killing of George Floyd, an African American by a white police man last week has ignited violent protests in major cities of the United States, Europe, Asia even parts of Africa, with the protesters calling for an end to racial discriminations. The protests which have defied all the protocols associated with personal and social distancing, experts say, are capable of causing severe health challenges in the days ahead following the unprecedented number of new cases of expected infections. Only last Wednesday it was reported that the US recorded 919 COVID-19 deaths In one single day. This brought the total number of death to 107,099. The figures are expected to increase by the day
