The Parish Priest of St. John Catholic Church, Igando, Rev. Fr. Michael Etekpo, MSP, marked his 17th priestly ordination anniversary on Sunday, June 28, 2020, with a private thanksgiving Mass at the parish. While appreciating God for his mercies in his life the past seventeen years of his missionary exploits, he also enjoined Christians to remain steadfast, notwithstanding the set-backs they may be experiencing. Fr. Etekpo who has spent most of his pastoral life working in Lagos Archdiocese was assigned to St. John Catholic Church, Igando barely five months before the emergence of COVID-19. Some members of the Parish Laity Council and representatives of societies took time to rejoice with him and wish him divine favour in all his endeavours.
