The Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu took time out with her alma mater, the Holy Child College, Obalende, Lagos to mark the 76th Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service held at the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and official commissioning of improvements on the School Frontage and Ojo/Toyan Street. The service and the serene ambience of this great citadel of learning that was established on April 9, 1945 as a Secondary School for girls by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and run by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, certainly brought back some fond memories and nostalgic feelings for the First Lady. According to the First Lady, “The motto of the school – ‘Action Not Words,’ has been one of my guiding principles in life and I cannot but appreciate that profound time-tested philosophy, which has proved to be pertinently useful.”
