Highly respected former scribe of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Alhaji Sanni Toro has given a pat on the back to the Gusau led board of the nation’s soccer governing body for getting the Super Eagles to land in the playoffs of the race to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Toro while congratulating the NFF called for all hands to be on deck to ensure the Eagles scale the final hurdles ahead and eventually qualify for the World Cup holding in the US, Canada and Mexico.
In Toro’s words…”I wish to congratulate the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Nigeria Football Fedetation, Sports loving Nigerians and corporate bodies for the Super Eagles’ qualification for the CAF playoffs in the World Cup qualifying series. It is a nice thing that they were able to scale through this initial hurdle. NFF needs to put extra efforts for the Super Eagles to scale through both CAF and FIFA inter-confederation playoff tournament in March 2026 for Nigeria to be among the last two World Cup slots. Nigerians should continue to support and pray for the success of the team.”
