Remember that your actions affect other people, just like their actions affect you – pyar.com. Our actions truly affect others. As Christians our way of life should bespeak Godly values and nurture people spiritually in the way of the Lord. Does your action lead people to God? Betty Amukpo asks. Some children respond thus. Excerpts:
‘We have to be an example with our words, action, thoughts, deeds’

An action is the act of doing something for a particular purpose. The book of 1 Timothy 4:12 says “Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” We have to be an example with our words, action, thoughts, deeds e.t.c. Everything we do and are should glorify God. In the same sense, everything we do not do is speaking to others as well, I will lead people to God by:
1.By emulating Christ and forgiving others;
2.Being prayerful – Encourage people to say their prayers always, Luke 18 :1.
3.Helping the needy.
4.Read and study the scripture daily. Romans 10:17 states: “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.”
5.Advising people to do the right thing even at time of difficulties.

‘Yes, my actions always lead people to God’

Yes, my actions always lead people to God. Because everything I do I start with God. Because everything starts with with the greatness of God; the glory of God. And I have seen people start with his holiness and his justice, after seeing me do so. So yes my actions leads people to God. Roman 3:23

‘I do make sure my actions win souls for God’

In the book of Mark 8:36, it is written, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Before taking any action which will be seen or known by people, I do ask my mother the implication of what am about to do. Does it have good meaning? What does the Bible says about it? I do always make sure my actions lead people to God or to think about God because our first purpose on earth is to be of service to God and also to win souls for God. I do make sure my actions win souls for God or bring people closer to God and that’s why am always careful of what I do.

‘I act with humility’

Yes. My actions revolve on 1st Timothy 4:12 which says “Be an example for the believers in your speech, your conducts, your love, faith and purity”. And I act with humility, talk less with respect to my fellow human beings, because Luke 4:11 says ” Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”.

‘Lord with the work of your Holy Spirit in my heart, help me to be kind to others’

In Ephesians 4:31-32, Paul tells us how to make a difference in the life of others. These verses may be said as a prayer: Lord help me to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behaviour. Lord with the work of your Holy Spirit in my heart help me to be kind to others, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven me. What the Bible says about people who provoke you: “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” “But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.” “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. Putting up such behaviour can lead others to Christ.

‘I bridle my tongue and try not to hurt others’

Yes, my actions and behaviour lead people to God with the grace of God. I don’t want to go to hell. I bridle my tongue and try not to hurt others. I dress modestly and I’m kind to others. Show others that Salvation is free but a personal race and choice. Mark 16:15-16 says…Go into the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. John 14:16… Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

‘My way of dressing, interacting with people, correcting people lead people to God’

Leading people to God has to do with lots of love and in 1 John 4:8, God is love and the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Yes, my action leads people to God, actions like my way of dressing, interacting with people, how I correct people, my integrity in the face of circumstances as well as controlling my anger. Also, I.Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. With God’s love on our side and the Holy Spirit our director, l hope that my actions lead all I come in contact with to our Lord Almighty.
