The Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Victoria Island, Lagos (CWON OLPH), recently held a medical outreach at the parish Marquee to look into the health, wellness and fitness of parishioners.
According to the organisers, health, wellness and fitness of the people are important, this was the reason they encouraged all to avail themselves of the opportunity to go for medical checkups and know their health status. Qualified medical professionals, including doctors and nurses were present for medical checks and consultation on the occasion.
Dr. Josee Zongo, a medical expert sensitised the women on cervical cancer. Blood pressure test, Sugar level tests, Malaria test, Eye tests, Hepatitis tests were conducted at the venue, as well as counselling and medical consultations. There were also talks on nutrition and wellness.
