The Centre for Media Development (CMD) Acting Academy has churned out three fresh students, who recently graduated after successfully completing a three-month course. The students went through 12 weeks of rigorous practical and theoretical training, aimed at preparing them to excel in the country’s entertainment industry. In his address on the occasion, the Director of the Academy, Rev. Fr. Anthony Godonu commended the graduands for their tenacity and commitment throughout the duration of the course, as he urged them to be good ambassadors of the academy. He equally appreciated the chief lecturer, Mr. Norbert Young for his passion and zeal to impact knowledge on the youngsters; a trend he has committed to doing over the years.

“We are happy that after a successful three months of intensive studies (both practical and theory) from some veterans drawn from Nollywood, we are happy that three of the students are graduating today. Having acquired the necessary expertise to excel in the industry, we do not doubt that they will be good ambassadors of the academy”, he said. The CMD Acting Academy, which was established in the year 2012 has produced well over 100 students, many of who are doing well in the country’s entertainment industry. The Academy is expected to resume another round of academic activities in the first week of October, 2022.
