In a bid to promote evangelisation and sound Biblical knowledge, as well as spiritual growth among its members and Catholics in general, the Catholic Biblical Movement of Nigeria, (CBMN), Lagos Archdiocese, held its 2023 St. Jerome’s Annual Biblical Conference in style. The conference which had as its theme, “Forward March For CBMN”, began with Mass, and also featured inspiring talks, healing and deliverance prayers, among other soul lifting and social activities, held recently at Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac Town, Lagos. Highlights of the event included ministration by Rev. Fr. Charles Chibogu OP., a Dominican priest and renowned man of God, as he presented the main Talk entitled, “The Significance of sound biblical knowledge in the life of a Christian.”
Other speakers at the event include Bro. Simeon Nwani and Mr. Chris Agina. The conference organised by the St. Jerome Conference Committee was well attended by the people as it recorded the presence of about 400 CBMN members on the occasion, including past leaders and Catholics from different walks of life. According to the organisers of the event, the last time the CBMN Lagos Archdiocese held the St. Jerome Biblical Conference at the Archdiocesan (ADC) level was in 2001; making this the first time CBMN Lagos, St. Jerome’s Biblical Conference would take place at the ADC level after 22 years in limbo. This according to them, is a sign of progress for CBMN, as they added that the successful organisation and hosting of this year’s St. Jerome’s Biblical Conference is therefore a forward march and a move in the right direction for CBMN Lagos Archdiocese.
