The Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos has announced the observance of the International Day of Prayer and Awareness against Human Trafficking in the Archdiocese. The event which coincides with the feast day of Saint Josephine Bakhita comes up on Monday February 8, 2021 with the theme “An economy without Human Trafficking” The programme of activities include press conference on Monday February 8, 2021 by 11:00am (For selected Groups/Organizations) at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Ikeja, Lagos. Celebration of the Holy Mass will be held in all parishes within the Archdiocese, with special prayers against human trafficking on Monday February 8, 2021 being Feast of St Josephine Bakhita. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Candle Light procession will also be held in all parishes within the Archdiocese. Exhortation of parishioners on the reality and ills of trafficking in persons will take place at all Masses on Sunday 7th February, 2021 by the Parish Priest/Priest-In-Charge.
