Catholics In Lagos Hold Novena To The Immaculate Conception

The Catholic Archdiocese of La-
gos has concluded plans for the

hosting of the 2020 Novena
– which is nine days of prayers – in
preparation for the solemnity of The
Annunciation, starting on Monday,
March 16 to Tuesday March 24, 2020
at the Archdiocesan Marian Shrine in
Maryland.
Activities will include daily Novena
and Rosary prayers, Sacraments of
Confession and Anointing of the Sick,

Stations of the Cross, Exposition of
the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction,
daily Masses and an All-Night Vigil
that will form part of a Forty-Hour
continuous adoration.
According to a release signed by

Rev. Fr. Anthony Fadairo, Coordina-
tor, Novena Planning Committee, the

Novena which is being hosted by the
Order of the Knight of St Mulumba
(KSM) Lagos Metropolitan Council
has as theme “Mary, Ark of the new

Covenant” (Luke 1:35) and it will
start at 4:30p.m. every day.
Catholics from Lagos and adjoining
Dioceses are expected to participate

in this Novena which will be round-
ed-off on the Solemnity of The An-
nunciation on Wednesday March 25,

2020 with procession and Holy Mass
to be celebrated by His Grace, Most
Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the
Archbishop of the Metropolitan See
of Lagos.
