t was a night of extraordinary
praise recently as thousands of
Catholics from all over Lagos gath-
ered to praise God in an event tagged
Catholic Praise Concert.
The concert which took place at the
Catholic Church of Resurrection, Mago-
do witnessed soul lifting performances
from renowned gospel artistes such as
Frank Edwards, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Ad-
elana also known as Fada Fuji, Freye
Odebe, Rev. Sr. Lucy Blexin, Rev. Fr.
Tony-Maria, Chukwuemeka, Jesus Baby
and a host of others.
Speaking on what necessitated the idea
of the Catholic Praise Concert, the initia-
tor, Mr. Peter Egbumoike explained:
“I always wanted to share my favorite
music with the world at the same time
serve God in an unusual and extraor-
dinary way. He has blessed me with
an ear for good music and so I want-
ed to share the joy of praising God
all the way. I first thought of having a
Radio station over a period of 6 years.
That idea transformed into a concert
of Christian music in 2010. Finally in
2013 I stopped thinking and started
planning the first Catholic Concert .
The rest is history.”
