The Catholic Diocese of Yola commissioned recently 25 new catechists at the Catchetical Training Centre (CTC) Muchalla, Gombi LGA of Adamawa state. The ceremony was masterminded by His Lordship, Most Rev. (Dr.) Stephen Dami Mamza, Bishop of the Diocese of Yola, in company of Priests, Religious and Laity of the Diocese. The Bishop, admonished the newly commissioned catechists to live an exemplary life in their communities and let the light of God shine through them. He described the ceremony as timely because the wives of the catechists are not left out, each of them learned a skill that will help the family and the community. Each catechist was given a motor cycle for easy transportation for service, and other mission work while their wives will be given sewing machine each. Rev. Fr. Simon Salama, Director of the Center, accompanied the Bishop with other priests to present the motor cycles to the graduands after the Holy Mass.
