The Parish Priest of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, Greenfield Estate, Okota, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Iheanacho has charged Catholic Men to endeavour to remain faithful in their marriage in imitation of their patron saint, St. Joseph. Fr. Iheanacho gave this admonition during his homily at the Mass that heralded the 10th Annual General Meeting of members of the Lagos Archdiocese Catholic Men Organization of Nigeria (LACMON) held on Saturday, March 25, 2023. In his homily during the Mass which was attended by over 800 delegates drawn from the 20 deaneries in the Archdiocese, the clergy reminded them that contrary to some beliefs, the conjugal relationship between spouses makes the men pure, as long as they remain faithful to their marital vows. He urged them to strive to be like St. Joseph who was renowned for his faithfulness, purity, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Drawing from the reading of the day which centered on the feast of the Annunciation, Fr. Iheanacho also charged them to remain prayerful and refrain from living promiscuous and licentious lives.

In his address to the delegates, the LACMON chaplain, Very Rev. Fr. Francis Ike who superintended over the AGM, expressed happiness at the large turn-out and commitment of the delegates and urged them not to be tired of playing their roles as fathers and pillars of the Church. During the AGM, the LACMON Financial Secretary, Prince Emma Eze read out the financial report of the organisation for the year 2022 to the satisfaction of members, while LACMON Auditor, Mr. Kayode Aina, of Olukayode Aina and others, endorsed the report. LACMON President, Barr. Vincent Otiono read out the 2022 Executive stewardship report, stating their achievements which included, amongst others, improved welfare and enhanced insurance policies for members, support for Owo victims, and continuous fidelity and support for the Archdiocese of Lagos. The Annual General Meeting was graced by delegates from the two hundred parishes in the twenty deaneries in Lagos Archdiocese, made up of deanery Coordinators, Deputy Deanery Coordinators, and Emeritus Deanery Coordinators.
