What’s the rationale behind re-
pairing Lagos roads during
rush hours? I don’t under-
stand why we just wake up to say today
this road must be repaired. In other civi-
lised worlds, public works are carried out
in the busy cities when the citizens have
retired to their bedrooms. Why is our
case so different?
This is a wake-up call to the Lagos State
Governor, His Excellency, Mr Babajide
Sanwo-Olu to direct the Commissioner
of Works and Housing to rbe more city-
sensitive and reduce the traffic gridlock
that constantly bedevil the citizenry
while returning from the death traps La-
gos works of the day.
One of the ways to achieve this is to give
incentives to the construction workers
through which they will be motivated to
work at night efficiently and effectively.
