I am a source of blessing and joy to people around me by living a good life, spreading the gospel and praying for them; always reminding my parents how important it is to help the needy. Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” It’s good to be part of people’s blessing and joy, because whatever you do on earth will be rewarded in heaven.

‘To be a blessing to others means to be there for them’
Being a source of blessing or joy to someone to me, means the same thing, because if one gives blessing to someone, invariably you are giving joy to the person also. To be a blessing to others means to listen to them, to help them in need, to be there for them, to be their friend in need. If you are a blessing, you bring joy to someone’ s life. According to Proverbs 11:25, “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.” With the above, I am a blessing to others by God’s grace.

What is a blessing? Blessing is a favour or gift bestowed by God, thereby bringing about happiness. That being said, I feel I am a source of blessing to people, because not only am I a gift from God, but also the fact that in all my ways I glorify God, I do my best to put smiles on the faces of those around me, I have been a source of joy to my parents, by making them proud and never causing them pain in any way. It is written in Psalm 127:3- 4: “Children are a blessing and gift from God, having a lot of children to take care of you in your old age is like a warrior with a lot of arrows.” Which means once you have children around you, rest assured that you are very much protected.

God is the source of all joy. I am a source of blessing to people because Christ has bestowed His constant love on me, and His faithfulness extended to me. I am grateful to the Lord for His love to me which is radiating in me and people are seeing the glory of God in my life. Nobody can be said to be fully self-sufficient, lacking nothing in the true sense of life, but when we focus our lives on God, when Christ is in us, and we do His will, we feel joy regardless of what is happening in our lives. God is the source of all joy.
