The Archbishop of Owerri Ec-
clesiastical Province, His Grace,
Most Reverend Anthony Obin-
na has urged the governor of
Imo state, Chief hope Uzodinma to do well
to see that those dividends of democracy
delivered by Chief Emeka Ihedioha with-
in seven months in power are sustained by
him for the good of Imo people.
Obinna, who was speaking recently
during a Mass at the Cathedral, made it
clear that he had expected Chief Emeka
Ihedioha at the Mass and not him being
the original plan, only to hear that the Su-
preme Court had ruled in his(Uzodinma’s)
favour in what he described as “Ambiguity
of Judgment”.
While maintaining that he was not ex-
pecting the change of government in the
state because things had started moving
fine as Ihedioha showed that he was ready
to work for the people, he told Uzodinma
to sustain the payment of staff salaries,
payment of pensions which was improved
upon by Ihedioha, sustain the improve-
ment of different institutions and continue
the road construction and rehabilitation
going on all over the state.
Responding, Chief Hope Uzodinma ex-
plained that he decided to run for the 2019
Governorship when former governor, Ro-
chas Okorocha insisted that his son in-law
must succeed him, claiming that there was
no man in the state. He came in, fought
and collected the party’s flag to run for the
election and that what he had just done
was to collect back his stolen mandate. He
assured that he would deliver the desired
dividends to the people, adding that Imo
people needed a man of capacity and that
the man in charge at the moment is “Mr
Capacity”.
The Archbishop later prayed God to give
Ihedioha the heart to bear what happened
and asked God for forgiveness of sins of all.
