- Holds Jubilee for Consecrated Life today
Most Rev. (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, has unveiled a programme of activities to commemorate the Jubilee Year in the Archdiocese. 2025 is called Year of Hope and it is a time to find hope in God’s word and renew hope in families, parishes, dioceses and communities. In a special circular signed by the Archbishop, he recalled that the Jubilee Year programme commenced in the Archdiocese on December 29, 2024, with the opening of the Jubilee Year of Hope at the Holy Cross Cathedral and on December 31, 2024, it was inaugurated in the respective parishes. The circular read in parts, “The Jubilee Year of Hope has began; and in line with the programme of the universal Church, various activities have been outlined for us here in the Archdiocese of Lagos. “Chaplains of various associations and groups are to take note and begin plans for these programmes in earnest.
