Archbishop gives directives for Lenten season

His Grace, Most Rev, (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins, Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, has directed Catholics on how to celebrate Stations of the Cross for the 2021 Lenten Season. While addressing all priests and religious working in the Archdiocese of Lagos, concerning the Lenten Season, Archbishop Martins directed them on how to carry out the Stations of the Cross. He said the Stations of the Cross should be held on Fridays alone, except at the Marian Shrine in Maryland and in parishes where it is also celebrated in Yoruba language on Wednesdays. Archbishop Martins also urged Catholic Faithfuls to do Stations of the Cross, as a private devotion during the Lenten Season. |”The faithful is also encouraged to do Stations of the Cross in private, as a private devotion in the Lenten Season”, he said.
