Six Deacons were raised to priesthood in a colourful ceremony officiated by His Grace Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church Ajao Estate. The newly ordained priests are Rev. Frs. Joseph Odozi, Michael Ekoja, John Chibueze Mmadu, Stephen Izebuno, Boniface Aniebue and Theophilus Inegbeneboh. Over 200 priests from all the parishes of the 20 Deaneries were in attendance. Also in attendance were family members of the new priests, different Societies and well-wishers notably the members of Papal Knights and Medalists, members of the Lagos Archdiocesan Laity Council, Catholic Women Organization Nigeria Lagos Archdiocese (CWONLA), Lagos Archdiocesan Catholic Men Organization (LACMON), Missionary Childhood Association (MCA), and parishioners of the hosting parish.
