I’m out to dominate the world of tag team wrestling – King Kizzy
After partnering with his Tag team mate Donovan Pierce to defeat the longest reigning DFW All Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions (Chilly Boys, 400 plus days), Nigerian born United States of America based wrestler, Kizzy Uzoma with the ring name ‘King Kizzy’ said that he and his tag team partners are ready to re- write the history of world wrestling noting that he was born to rule, dominate, lead and not give up in anything he’s involved in. Kizzy who is based in Dallas, Texas and made his professional debut in 2021 has been causing sleepless nights to Texas cowboy fighters both as a single wrestler and in the tag team competition noted that although he’s not known in his native country; Nigeria neither did he wrestle there as an amateur or professional fighter before relocating to the United States, he’s ready to reignite pro -wrestling at the grassroots in his native country which he believes will change the face of the sports in the Nigeria. “
It surprises people that not minding the fact that I didn’t fight as an amateur nor a professional while in my native country, Nigeria, I still made it to the top of the mats man game. “The truth is that while in Nigeria, I never saw the opportunity. It was only a farfetched dream until I moved to the United States. After completing my college education, I started searching for opportunities around me to take the first bold step into Pro-wrestling. “It was in February 2020 right before the pandemic that I started training and because of my commitment, I began to master the arts of the game. According to the fighter who is from a royal family in Isunjaba, Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, the training he underwent under the tutelage of Lamont Williams of DFW All Pro- wrestling Academy in Dallas, Texas helped in shaping his fighting skills, describing it as the best any wrestler can get anywhere in the world.
“I trained alongside; Carlos Diaz, Levi Lucas and Donovan Pierce ( my tag team partner) under Lamont Williams at DFW All Pro- wrestling Academy in Dallas and I can tell you that the training there is second to none. “To be sincere with you , it’s one of the best wrestling academies in North Texas and Texas at large. It is very hard to graduate from DFW ALL PRO. They put you through the work, they try to break you, to mould you, and to make you quit. At the end, they only want to produce the very best in the business. Kizzy whose trade mark dressing in the ring is Nigerian cultural attire explained that culture is a big part of him and that as a professional wrestler, he wants to showcase the richness of African culture and tradition which he says is very rich.
On his toughest fight since joining the professional ranks, he has this to say “My matches against Angel Camacho, Big Sed and Lou Gotti (Lamont Williams) were very tough; Angel and Big Sed are two scary men. When you stand across the ring from them, all bets are off. Lou Gotti is an experienced veteran. He trained me so he knew what I was capable of doing, he knew my strengths and weaknesses and that helped me a lot The fighter who described his biggest fan and support system as believing in oneself noted that he believes in God and hard work with a declaration that delay could be inevitable but failure is never an option for him.
