Being alone with God is not only
when we pray, it is also when we
are in some trouble. It is not only
when we are in sorrow, it is also when we
need hope for tomorrow.
Being alone with God are times when
life’s troubles have humbled you, afflict-
ed you, and taken almost everything you
possess, to a point where you have no one
to turn to but God. These lonely and low-
ly moments are often what makes us holy
and wholly.
We need to be able to see Jesus in the
dark; and sometimes see Him better in
the dark than in the light. Indeed it takes
the dark to appreciate the stars.
