Catholics have been urged to always
allow the Holy Spirit to manifest in their
daily lives by submitting themselves to
the will of God.
This was the submission of the homily
given by the Bishop of Issele Uku dio-
cese, Most Rev Michael O. Elue at a Mass
marking the 2019/2020 Jubilee session of
the Seminary of All Saints Uhiele, Ekpo-
ma held recently.
While reiterating the important role
the Holy Spirit plays in the Church, Bish-
op Elue noted that it endows God’s chil-
dren with numerous gifts which ought
to be used to powerfully and fearlessly
proclaim that Jesus is Lord.
Such gifts, he said, must not be hidden
as they are evidences that one is born
again and influenced by the Holy Spirit,
like the Apostles did on Pentecost day.
At the Mass, the Formators of the Sem-
inary renewed their profession of faith,
and also the banner for the Jubilee Ses-
sion was unveiled.
After the Mass, there was a group pho-
tograph which was followed by a tour
round the Seminary facilities by the
Bishop, Priests and all present. There
was also the blessing and commissioning
of the new borehole by the Bishop. The
water from the borehole, aside being safe
and drinkable, has the capacity of deliv-
ering about 4,000 litres of water per hour.
It is meant to serve the Seminary and the
neighbouring community.
