The FIFA Museum in Zurich will open a dedicated permanent display featuring the FIFA Club World Cup™ Trophy from 13 January, 2026, giving visitors the chance to experience one of football’s latest and most significant symbols. The arrival of the trophy follows the inaugural edition of the FIFA Club World Cup™, which delivered 63 matches, 195 goals and a month of excitement across the United States, stretching from Miami to Seattle and Los Angeles to Philadelphia.
The first champions, Chelsea FC, lifted the trophy in New York New Jersey, marking the beginning of a new era in elite global club competition. The trophy will be exhibited in the museum’s Foundations room, offering visitors a striking centrepiece that reflects the evolution of the modern club game. Its placement is no coincidence: The space honours FIFA’s earliest mission to promote international competition and develop the game worldwide. As a symbol of the latest development in global football, the trophy not only echoes these founding principles but also strengthens the FIFA Museum’s mission to safeguard and celebrate the sport’s heritage with the entire world.
Designed by FIFA and crafted in collaboration with Tiffany & Co., the trophy reflects the ambition and boldness behind the new era of global club football. Made of gold vermeil, it features detailed laser engravings portraying the sport’s rich history and culture, from expressive footballers and cheering supporters to FIFA’s founding date. As a global emblem, it includes wording in 13 languages and Braille, spanning ancient Greek, Arabic, German, Hindi, Japanese, Latin, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and others. The trophy’s contemporary design and inclusive detailing underline its role as a symbol of a competition built to unite clubs and fans from across the world.
