As we gather on this 6th Sunday of Easter, we are reminded of the profound love and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us, “I give you a new commandment: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another” (John 13:34). These words challenge us to reflect on the way we live our lives and interact with those around us. Are we living in the spirit of love and service, or are we driven by selfish desires? As Christians, we are called to embody the love of Christ in our daily lives, to be beacons of hope and compassion in a world that often seems dark and divided. Let us strive to love one another as Jesus has loved us.
Let us show kindness, empathy, and understanding to those we meet, especially those who are marginalised, vulnerable, or in need. May our love for one another be a testament to the transformative power of Christ’s love. As we prepare to celebrate the Ascension of our Lord, let us remember that Jesus’ love for us is unwavering and unconditional. May our hearts be filled with this love, and may we share it with others, bringing joy, peace, and hope to all those we encounter. May God bless us and guide us on our journey of faith.
